Terms & Conditions
Last updated: March 2025 · Effective immediately
Important: By using TowingIreland.ie you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully. The key point: TowingIreland.ie is a comparison platform only. We are not a tow company. We do not provide towing services. The contract for any towing service is between you and the tow company directly.
1. About TowingIreland.ie
TowingIreland.ie ("the Platform", "we", "us", "our") is an online vehicle recovery comparison service operated in Ireland. The Platform allows users ("you", "the Customer") to submit tow requests which are then sent to registered recovery operators ("Tow Companies") for quoting purposes.
TowingIreland.ie acts solely as an intermediary platform. We do not provide towing or vehicle recovery services ourselves, and we are not party to any contract formed between a Customer and a Tow Company.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using TowingIreland.ie, you confirm that you:
- Are at least 18 years of age
- Have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions
- Have read and agree to our Privacy Policy
- Are legally entitled to request towing of the vehicle specified
3. The Service — What We Do and Don't Do
⚠️ TowingIreland.ie is NOT an emergency service. If you are in immediate danger, in a situation requiring emergency services, or on a live motorway carriageway, call 999 immediately. Do not rely on this platform in a life-threatening situation.
We do:
- Receive your tow request and forward the job details to Tow Companies operating in your area
- Facilitate messaging between you and Tow Companies
- Notify you when companies respond
- Pass contact details between you and your chosen Tow Company upon acceptance
We do not:
- Employ, control, or supervise any Tow Company
- Guarantee that any Tow Company will respond to your request
- Guarantee the quality, safety, price, timing or conduct of any Tow Company
- Verify that every Tow Company holds valid insurance (though we endeavour to do so)
- Take any payment from Customers on behalf of Tow Companies
- Guarantee response times or availability
4. Tow Companies Are Independent Third Parties
All Tow Companies listed on or responding through TowingIreland.ie are independent businesses. They are not employees, agents, or representatives of TowingIreland.ie.
The contract for towing services is formed directly between you and the Tow Company at the point you accept a quote. TowingIreland.ie is not a party to this contract and accepts no liability for its performance or non-performance.
You should satisfy yourself that any Tow Company you engage:
- Holds appropriate motor trade and public liability insurance
- Is appropriately licensed and registered
- Has agreed a clear price before commencement of any work
5. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Irish and EU law, TowingIreland.ie, its operators, employees and agents shall not be liable for:
- Any damage to your vehicle caused by a Tow Company
- Any personal injury arising from the actions of a Tow Company
- Financial loss resulting from the conduct of a Tow Company
- Failure of a Tow Company to respond to or fulfil your request
- Delays, errors or interruptions in the Platform's service
- Loss of data due to technical failures beyond our reasonable control
- Any indirect, consequential or incidental loss arising from use of the Platform
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our own negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under Irish law.

When using the Platform you agree to:
- Provide accurate and truthful information in your tow request

7. Accuracy of Information
We endeavour to ensure the Platform operates correctly, but we make no warranty that it is error-free, uninterrupted or fit for any particular purpose. Quotes received through the Platform are provided by Tow Companies and TowingIreland.ie takes no responsibility for their accuracy.
